The government cancels the purchase of pork and chicken pieces

Government program “Christmas of solidarity 2023.”which intended to buy 1.4 million pieces of pork and chicken meat with an investment of 25 million dollars, was cancelled.

The process of procuring raw materials for the Christmas program began at the beginning of the year year.

He stated that this could repeat the pattern in which the product is listed was intended for representatives or government social programs in conditions that may not be favorable for domestic producers.

“It is very likely that the industry will from now on procure this raw material of imported origin, repeating the model that was implemented earlier”explained the entrepreneur.

He emphasized that this could again be used by the national industry to reduce the volume of purchases of domestic products from local producers, which would have a negative impact on the agricultural sector.

He commented that the wrong perception of the population about the program is that it is used for political proselytism.

In this sense, the president Mr APUP He insisted on the transparency of the process and made it clear that agricultural producers do not intervene in the social policy of the state government.

“We as producers provide the raw materials that we sell to the industry, and it is the latter that does the commercial transaction with the national government to implement these social programs.”Guevara explained.

“We do not interfere in political decisions; We are simply providing the necessary resources to make the program a reality.”He said.

He clearly stated that his goal is to contribute to the welfare of the most needy families at Christmas time, not to participate in political agendas.
