Panama made its debut in para table tennis in Santiago 2023

Athletes Julio Evans and Francisco Córdoba, both in Class 7 were the first Panamanians to see action in the individual qualifying round For table tennisat the beginning of the competition day Parapan American Games, Santiago 2023.

Class 7 are players who compete standing, with slightly limited coordination of the whole body, moderately limited coordination of one side of the body (arms or legs) or no limbs.

Francisco Córdoba, a member of Group B, faced the Argentine Nicolas Kaniuka, a favorable result for his opponent (11 – 2, 11 – 6 and 11 – 6).

In his second game, he had a Panamanian as his opponent Colombian Miguel Castro, who eventually won the sets (11 – 3, 11 – 1 and 11 – 2).
