Chile is illuminated by the Pan American torch

Torch of Pan American and Parapan American Games which will be held in Chile starting next October 20 arrived in the capital this Saturday from Mexico.

The flame was lit in a colorful ceremony in The Teotihuacan pyramids in which there was a large Chilean delegation led by the Minister of Sports Jaime Pizarro and athletes such as rowers Melita Abraham and gymnast Tomás González.

“Santiago 2023 It will be a significant milestone that unites us in history and origin. The lantern that brought the sacred fire lit from Teotihuacán came down from the plane in hand González and Abraham, who will present it to President Gabrijelo Borić at a ceremony on the hill in Santiago this afternoon.

On October 2, three torches will start simultaneously from three different ends. (Arica in the north, Punta Arenas in the south and Easter Island in the Pacific Ocean) and will tour the entire country.

Vatre will gather on October 20 at the inauguration in Santiago National Stadium the biggest sporting event held in Chile since the World Cup in 1962.
