Winning the title of the best team of the moment, Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami, is the aspiration of the Houston Dynamo led by Panamanian Adalberto “Coco” Carrasquillo and Mexican Héctor Herrera.
“I think it would be nice to win the final of the best player in history, (Lionel Messi),” Panamanian Carrasquilla said in a short statement on Houston Dynamo’s social media about the Us Open Cup final.
Inter Miami hosts the Houston Dynamo today in the final of the US Open Cup at (19:30 Panama time) at the DRV PNK Stadium in Florida, United States.
For his part, the Mexican Héctor Herrera highlighted the enthusiasm and desire with which his team goes to the final against Inter Miami Lionel Messi, whom he defined as “the best in the world and the best in history”.
“It’s motivation for us to be able to play against Messi. I had the chance to play many times (against him) and that’s something that motivates you, you’re excited to be able to beat him,” the Mexican said of the Argentine star, whose participation in the final is still doubt due to muscle problems.
