Dual training aims to break down the barrier of inexperience

Dual education aims to eliminate the barrier of inexperience that young people have when looking for a job.

Director of the National Institute for Vocational Training and Training for Human Development (Inadeh), Mariela Salgadohe pointed out that this type of learning has a high success rate in employment.

How does it work? According to Salgado, as the process unfolds, the intern receives training in a real-world environment.

“We integrate companies from day zero so that young people are trained according to their needs,” he explained this Tuesday at a meeting with Inadeh Dual Training Companies.

In the case of an institution, the program is divided into stages. In the first, the trainee goes to the institute from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. as if he were working in an office. In the second, he spends 70% of his time in companies and 30% in an academic unit.

In the first phase, Inadeh provides a financial scholarship Fees are distributed for mobilization and in the phase of going to companies. In the first year, the company pays 70% of the salary corresponding to the position; in the second the salary is 90%.

Salgado said statistics show that a 80% of trainees stay to work in the training company.

They currently have 76 trainees, but according to the version, up to 1,000 young people are trying to enter the program.

The automotive mechanics sector concentrates an important part of students, as it is the third with the highest demand in the country. The field of logistics is also emerging, and it is planned to focus on the hotel, technology and tourism sectors.

The dual training program aims to contribute to the inclusion of the country’s young population (18 to 25 years) in the labor force, enabling them to acquire the competencies and skills necessary for the development of their professional life.
