Christiansen, the draw with Guatemala leaves a ‘bitter-sweet’ taste

Tie from Panama against Guatemala the 1-1 draw left a “bitter-sweet” taste for the coach of the Panamanian national team Thomas Christiansen, who recognized after the match that La Roja “had more to do” when it came to winning the match.

We were comfortable in the first half, we created a lot of chances, Mister said, referring to the scoring options the Panamanian team had, mostly in the first half.

We had counterattacks, very good plays, we should have sealed the game in the first half, admitted the coach of the Panamanian team.

Christiansen claimed that the game against Guatemala leaves a “bittersweet taste, because we could have gotten more” from the draw.

Mister also recognized the game of Guatemala that equalized and neutralized Panama.

“Credit must also go to Guatemala, a good team that fought until the last minute,” Christiansen said after the tie.

Panama reached 4 points, as many as Guatemala in Group A, led by Trinidad and Tobago with 6 points, Martinique (3), Curacao and El Salvador have no points.
