Panamanian shooters are received with honors in Tocumen

Relatives, friends and the leadership of archery, with the sounds of murgi and with numerous congratulations, received the delegation Panamanianwho won 6 medals, 2 silver and 4 bronze, in Pan American Archery Championship in Salto, made in Argentina, a turning point for Panamanian sports.

“This shows that when things are done well, we have good results. We will continue to work for this sport, which little by little and with the performances of the athletes is quickly becoming famous,” said Luis Barría, president of ANational Archery Association of Panama (ANTAP)upon the arrival of the shooters at the Tocumen airport.

He added that the archery administration consists of many athletes and that all sports should have equal opportunities, showing that if they support each other they can bring many glories to Panama.

He also emphasized the importance of achieving Comprehensive training center shooting in the sports city Irving Saladinas an achievement for shooters to have a special place for training, in a space completely dedicated to this discipline and to see the results today, along with medals for Panama.

Diego Bethancourt, who led the Panamanian team in Argentina, said he was proud of the performance Panama, since he should have won gold in this pan american, which was attended by more than 300 archers from 14 American countries, 13 of them from Panama.

It should be noted that Emma Duran in the women’s recurse, she won 534 points, which is the highest score in the women’s competition; while Edgar Barsallowith 578, he was third in qualifying.
