More expensive groceries, rising petrol prices and, for many, extremely high energy bills. Life is getting more expensive, every Dutchman notices that. We will be tracking various households over the coming months. How do they deal with the constantly rising prices?
This first episode focuses on 73-year-old Hendrik. He lives with his wife Dimphie in Westkapelle. Neither of them have built up a pension and have to make do with their AOW. But because Hendrik is chronically ill, he spends almost all his money on his health. Groceries are also getting more expensive, so you can no longer eat hot every day.
Hendrik: “It’s a hopeless thing. I will notice that more every day.”
