Company Urbas energy has been awarded the design, construction, commissioning, management and maintenance of seven solar power plants in Panama, the company said in a statement on Thursday.
These plants together provide an installed capacity of 87.5 megawatts (MWp) peak, for Santiago Solar PTY.
The contract includes the execution under the EPC (turnkey) modality of these seven factories, located in the province of Veraguas, city of San Barolo, district of La Mesa.
Construction work is planned to start in July this year will create 200 jobs between direct and indirect.
The installation of more than 135,000 bifacial panels, transformation centers, medium voltage lines and a 230 kilovolt substation is planned.
The project is financed by BAC Credomatic and the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) signed with Enel Group.
The construction of these seven solar power plants was contracted by the Panamanian Santiago Solar PTY, dedicated to the development and operation of renewable production facilities.

The company also points out that with this contract, Urbas strengthens its international position in sustainable solutions and capitalizes on its experience in innovation.
