When evaluating Ence, Ecovadis highlights the pulp mill’s performance in terms of environmental sustainability; in labor practice and human rights; in sustainable purchasing; and in ethical behavior, the parameters in which Ecovadis’ analysts gave the company the highest marks”.
This recognition proves, according to Ence, its commitment to sustainability and adds to the others the company has received. For example, the agency ESG Sustainalytics identified Ence as the most sustainable company in its sector worldwide. The Pontevedra and Navia factories received the eco-label of the Nordic countries, Nordic swan; the Gold medal of the European Commission to improve the environment; and a certificate Aenor Zero Waste. Likewise, the biomass used by these plants has a certificate Of coursewhich also guarantees its sustainability.
