Reganosa, through its subsidiary H2Pole, has just announced a tender for the construction of a plant for the production of green hydrogen in As Pontes. The terminal will have a capacity of 100 megawatts and will be able to produce around 16,000 tons of fuel per year.. The project, which is part of a larger business initiative in alliance with Portugal’s EDP Renovables, was the first to be declared a strategic industrial project (PIE) by the Xunta, allowing it to shorten deadlines.
Reganosa thereby opens the selection of candidate companies, with the aim of sign a turnkey contract detailed engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning of future facilities. The company claims that, “preferentially”, it will award the order to one company, although it will recognize “when there are objective reasons for this, economic interest groups”.
The forecasts dealt with by Reganosa are that it will be necessary an investment of around 156 million euros materialize this project. Energetika designed the terminal in several phases. The first will have a term of execution of 24 months. The company headed by Emilio Bruquetas is also hoping for that Works can start in the first quarter of next year.with the aim of launching the facilities in the first months of 2026.
