Telemarketers sign a new contract with a basic salary of 16,059 euros for 2024.

The agreement with employers expanding the use of remote work will affect 110,000 workers

New Collective contract workers in contact centerwhich according to Comisiones Obreras (CC.OO.) it affects 110,000 people in Spainhe set salary base of telemarketers in 15,591 euros for 2023 and 16,059 euros for 2024.it is stated in the text agreed by the unions (CC.OO. and UGT) and the Association of User Experience Companies (COX) – the main employer in the sector -, which was published in the National Gazette (BOE) this Friday.

In particular, the new agreement includes a 3.5% increase in the basic salary for level 10 (telephone operators) in 2022 and 2023, while for 2024 and 2025 it foresees an increase in compensation related to CPI a minimum of 1% and a maximum of 3.5%.

In addition, the basic salary for levels 11 and 12 (which also includes assistants and other types of lower telemarketer categories) currently corresponds to interprofessional minimum wage (SMI)although these two levels cease to exist from January 1, 2024.

«With effect from January 1, 2024, levels 11 and 12 will be eliminated from the basic pay tables, including such levels in level 10, whose denomination will be telemarketer», gathers agreement.

On the other hand, the basic salary of level 1 professional categories, corresponding to managers, will be set at 38,180 euros per year until 2023 and 39,325 until 2024. For level 2 (area managers), income. will be 34,600 in 2023 and 35,638 in 2024, while for category 3 (functional analysts and project managers) their basic annual salaries will be 29,833 euros in 2023 and 30,728 in 2024.

Categories 4 (analysts, senior graduates and system technicians A) and 5 (intermediate graduates, system technicians B, programmer analyst, senior programmer, among others) will remain above 20,000 euros per year, both in 2023 and 2024. Specifically, in 2023, category workers 4 will receive a basic salary of 25,066 euros and 25,818 in 2024, while level 5 workers will receive 22,084 in 2023 and 22,747 in 2024.

Meanwhile, professional categories between levels 6 and 9 (which bring together developers youngersystem assistants and telephone managers, among other profiles) will range between EUR 16,488 and EUR 18,838 per year in 2023, while in 2024 the range will be between EUR 16,983 and EUR 19,403.

Temporariness and remote work

For CC.OO., the new collective agreement promotes stability in employment according to promote an indefinite contract for 80% of templates and “significantly” reduce the impact of fixed-discontinuous and temporary employment.

“People with fixed-term contracts will have enough contribution time to receive unemployment benefits during periods of inactivity. Personnel belonging to the service will retain their post and their terms through subrogation if the said service changes company,” he asserted.

In addition, the union emphasized that the document establishes that at least 70 percent of the workforce has a working day of at least 30 hours per week, while the remaining 30 percent will work full time.

Temporary extensions of the working day will also be combined, using the formula for calculating the average of the extended working day during the year, from a certain time of extension, the organization adds.

In regards to remote workThe union highlighted the regulation of planning and remuneration, given that it was determined that 30% of the workforce will be able to telecommute 100% of their day, while those who telecommute less than 100% of their day will have a quarterly planning of days spent in person and costs of each day remote work will be compensated.
