Yarmolnik managed to build a career not only in the world of cinema. The 69-year-old Honored Artist of Russia also works as a producer. Yarmolnik said that he still remains a debtor, although 15 years have passed since the release of the film. “I’m in debt. For example, for a movie “guys”which is considered one of the best Russian musicals, and I am the producer of this picture, I still have a debt of 5 million dollars (400 million rubles – approx. ed.), “explained Leonid Isaakovich.

He thanked the investor-lenders who were sympathetic to his situation. They do not demand accelerated repayment of the debt, Jarmolnik clarified. According to the actor, the investors are aware that he did not appropriate any sums for himself and did not lose them.

The reason for the debt lies in the peculiarities of the domestic distribution, the judge of the program “Two stars. Fathers and Sons”. By the way, he pointed out that even the best quality paintings are not worth it in Russia. With “the American approach to the film and ambitions to shoot in Russia and collect the same dividends,” it is impossible, News.ru quotes Yarmolnik.
