35-year-old Israeli top model Karina Bauman died of anorexia: all authorities rejected 23.05.2023, 17:30

The glittering star has been struggling with an eating disorder for 13 years. The day before, she was hospitalized with acute pneumonia. Bauman spent the day in the intensive care unit of the Ichilov clinic. Doctors put Karina into an induced coma and connected her to life support machines. A day later, the top model died as she was denied all of her organs.

Karina first encountered anorexia at the age of 23. First, Bauman lost five kilograms on the advice of a modeling agency in Paris. Due to constant diets, the girl stopped controlling her weight. In 2011, Karin reached 36 kilograms, and in the last years of her life, the top model weighed only 24 kilograms with a height of 169 centimeters. Bauman looked much older than her age and could not move independently.

Bauman gave up trying to normalize her weight last year. The star spent the last days of her life in her mother’s apartment. Karina is survived by her mother and five brothers and sisters. A relative of the top model honored her memory on the page of the social network.

“Karina, together with her mother Yehudit, fought a terrible disease for 15 years every day and every night. There was an enlightenment when I believed she could get out of this darkness, but today her heart decided to give up the fight,” Vesti Israel reports, citing Ortal Amar.
