How Kanye West “remakes” his women and why he needs the Stars

This fate did not pass any of West’s girls – some were more defensive than listening to his advice, some showed humility, but Kanye played dress-up with each of them. And so it was.

She started dating West in 2008. And it became clear right away: their fashion tastes don’t match at all. Stubborn Amber was in no rush to obey without question, and Kanye just rolled his eyes when he saw that she had chosen Rose herself. Nevertheless, the woman managed to assert her position, even if her stubbornness sometimes led her into unpleasant situations.

For example, she was determined to attend the Metropolitan Opera’s 125th anniversary gala in a cocktail dress with a thigh-slit, rather than an evening gown designed by West.

Maybe this episode made her listen more to West, who was then proven right. Learning her style lessons, Amber showed up at the 2009 Met Gala in a monochrome red long dress and arrived at the BET Awards in a white outfit that was clearly Kanye’s taste.

But in relations with Amber, the rapper’s fashion adjustments still seem to be the fruit of mutual compromises. Either Rose showed her character, or Kanye himself was just testing his fashion system, which will be working ruthlessly and at full power very soon.

Today, Kim is considered a style icon, but she has come a long way to achieve this. If you compare the photos of the star, it seems that they are just different people. And no, it’s not just about beauty transformations, it’s also about clothes.

West’s influence on the Skims founder’s style began in 2012 when he revamped her wardrobe for an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. West ditched Kim for flashy prints, paving the way for a less-is-more aesthetic.

Kim, who was previously Paris Hilton’s assistant and listener, became a grateful and obedient student of Kanye. Later, the star thanked her husband more than once not only for this transformation, but also for introducing her to the fashion scene.

That’s how Kanye’s wife Kim first got to the Met Gala, where she is now a regular guest, and the cover of Vogue.

“I really think my relationship with Kanye changed everything. I used to think I had the best style. But now I look back at my past outfits and I’m just horrified,” Kardashian admitted in 2016.

And although Kim and Kanye split in 2021, her ex-husband’s influence on her style continues. However, we can say that Kardashian herself has already “grown up” with this image and has even surpassed her teacher in some ways. Many noted that even after the divorce, Kim “coordinated” images with her ex-husband: for example, she wore fashionable Balenciaga masks, while Kanye also liked to cover his face in public.

And let’s not judge their family life, but this fashion duet was perhaps the most successful of West’s life for both parties. And proof of that is the Fashion Icon Award that Kim received in 2021. In her speech, Kardashian did not forget to thank West, saying that he “really introduced her to the world of fashion.”

When going out, the couple often preferred a couple look: for example, total denim or leather suits. And West often took on the role of his beloved’s make-up artist – Fox’s lavish Black Swan-style make-up was the talk of the town.

And it seems that the rapper inspired Julia so much that now you cannot close the well of her ideas. Now we can hardly remember what West did for her there – Fox’s own ideas overshadow everything. After breaking up with Kanye, the actress did not disappear from the reporter’s chronicle – everyone is now watching what next crazy outfit she will show to the public. And Fox knows he’s changing from boxers to condoms. It all looks wild at times, but Fox is clearly the most creative of all West’s charges.

The most radical transformation in the shortest possible time occurred in West’s second “wife”, Yeezy employee Bianca Censori. At the rapper’s behest, Bianca, a brunette with long hair, became a blonde with an ultra-short haircut. Well, there’s not much to say about the outfits: Kanye’s new darling has also switched to tight tops and leggings (the latter are now willingly worn by West himself, so once again the couple bows are earned).

In her image, West seems to bet on maximum exposure: what are the translucent overalls in the style of nylon tights or the new candid photo shoot of Bianca for the Mowalola brand, where she was dressed in black straps in intimate places.

We believe even bolder images await us when Kanye is born.

The main question, which is not so easy to give a definite answer, because several factors can influence West’s behavior. The simplest thing: West is really passionate about fashion – he himself has talked about it more than once, emphasizing his visionary approach. Mistresses and wives are the ones on whom he can immediately test all his ideas, however crazy they may be. Each woman becomes his muse for some time, which he tries to turn into an image from his head.

It’s possible Kanye’s bipolar disorder and the “God Complex” are adding to this. It’s no secret that the rapper is a very religious person, he dedicated many songs to Jesus and even holds Sunday mass. But what if he fancies himself the Creator? At least in an area where it has some weight and influence.

But we have to admit: whatever Kanye’s motivations are, his experiments are definitely interesting to watch. We don’t know what else to expect, but we’re ready to be surprised.
