Fatal holiday: stars who tragically died on holiday

Sergei Suponev, who came up with the programs “Star Hour” and “Call of the Jungle”, died in 2001 while resting in the countryside. American actress Natasha Richardson, daughter of the legendary Vanessa Redgrave and director Tony Richardson, wife of actor Liam Neeson and mother of two sons, died in the Mont Tremblant ski resort in Quebec. The actress, riding without a helmet, fell during one of the descents, but did not attach any importance to the injury and refused the help of doctors. However, an hour later she felt a severe headache and was hospitalized. When Liam arrived at the hospital from filming, his wife was already in a coma. Two days later, the family decided to wean her. Natasha was 45 years old.

The actress’ body was found off the coast of the Catalina Islands on November 29, 1981, after she apparently slipped off a yacht and then drowned while on vacation with husband Robert Wagner and Brainstorm actor Christopher Walken. But reports that the 43-year-old Rebel Without a Cause actress had argued with Wagner and flirted with Walken have raised questions about the nature of her death. In November 2011, police reopened the case and after a new investigation, Wood’s cause of death was changed from accidental drowning to “drowning and other undetermined factors”.
