Valentin Yudashkin died on May 2 after a long battle with cancer. Anita was a close friend of the fashion designer until the last days of his life. The 52-year-old actress showed her first outfit from Yudashkin. Anita admitted that she got it thanks to Alla Pugacheva.
“Alla Pugacheva introduced us, brought us so close. And I wore the first dress he made for me to Alla Borisovna’s “Christmas meeting” in 1997. Alla Borisovna asked me to sew two dresses. There was one on her – like emerald gold, made of brocade. And the other one is this one, made of gold and silver brocade, ”Tsoi opened.
The performer of the hit “Sky” admitted that she carefully hides Yudashkin’s gift. Anita said it was Valentine who opened her up to the world of high fashion and taught her how to wear women’s clothes.
“I could not even imagine that women could walk in such beautiful clothes. I thought only princesses or fairy tale characters could afford it. I learned to wear a neckline. I’ll keep this dress. I fixed it a few times,” Anita explained.
The winner of the Golden Gramophone Award spoke about the latest work of the Russian designer. According to the artist, Yudashkin prepared the costumes for her new concert program, inspired by the music of the 70s, 80s, 90s, 2000s.
“That was the time when Valja went through his formation and still studied with Vjačeslav Zajcev. Of course he made amazing costumes in this style. And I asked him to create a complete collection of costumes of that time. When we started working, there was the coronavirus. He sewed from the fittings and materials of the time. I was digging in my stash because it was very hard to get new fabrics and everything back then. He made me great costumes. It seems to me that this is his last such big work with artists. It means a lot to me,” assured the pop star.
Tsoi admitted that she could rarely afford to wear Yudashkin’s clothes in everyday life due to the peculiarities of her figure. Because of this, there was a misunderstanding between Valentin Abramovich and Anita.
“Sometimes I dreamed that Valya offended me. He invited me to his catwalks and I always came with some young, new authors. And he was offended, I just saw. I took part in many shows, but as a model I didn’t fit under his clothes. Small, chubby and foot size 36. Valeria, I would say, was the muse of Valentin Yudashkin, with such and such a figure! – Tsoi said in the studio of the talk show “The stars have aligned”.
