Catherine appeared to be following in the footsteps of the late Queen Elizabeth II, who always opted for bright colors to visually stand out from the crowd. The mother of many children wore a scarlet suit by her favorite British brand, Alexander McQueen.
A smart blazer accented at the waist and straight trousers suited Kate. Stylists styled the princess’s hair into soft waves, and make-up artists applied her make-up in the evening and accentuated the prince’s wife’s already expressive eyes.
Older Cambridge children attended the concert: 9-year-old Prince George and 8-year-old Princess Charlotte and 5-year-old Louis stayed at home. Family members reacted emotionally to what was happening and communicated vividly with each other. Katherine was impressed by the funny performance with the Muppets – funny puppet characters. “This is so much fun!” The princess turned to her daughter.
Many stars performed at the concert, among them Katy Perry in a “metal” dress, Lionel Richie, Nicole Scherzinger, rock musician Steve Winwood, Andrea Bocelli. The evening was accompanied by actor Hugh Bonneville.
The concert also showed pre-recorded skits about little-known facts in the king’s life. These stories have been told by Tom Cruise, Joan Collins, Pierce Brosnan and even the animated Winnie the Pooh from the works of Alan Milne.
