“It is with great sadness that we inform you that circumstances beyond his control have occurred which have resulted in Mr. Costner having to attend divorce proceedings. We ask that the privacy of him, Christine and their children be respected as they go through this difficult time,” Costner’s spokesperson said in a statement.

The Bodyguard star also has an illegitimate son, Liam Costner, with Bridget Rooney, whom he dated after breaking up with Cindy.

The insider said that the reason for the divorce with Christine was largely the series “Yellowstone”, in which the actor plays the main role. Costner had disagreements with screenwriter Taylor Sheridan. The Paramount Network project has become so popular that producers are renewing it for a fifth season. The actor recently received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor for his performance as John Dutton.
