Do not repeat after the idol: 5-star diets that are better to refuse

1. Ketogenic diet

The basis of the keto diet is the minimal consumption of carbohydrates. If you limit their intake, the body starts burning fat for energy. This is not very helpful because it can cause orthorexia – an eating disorder that requires the exclusion of certain foods or whole groups, in this case containing carbohydrates. In addition, the complete rejection of sugar can cause an irresistible desire for food, which is in no way combined with weight loss. “In addition, this diet is very strict and the food in it is not the most delicious, so not everyone can achieve the result,” adds Max.

2. Diet 5-2

This diet is based on intermittent fasting, where you eat whatever you want for 5 days, and the next 2 days – no more than 600 calories or even less. It is assumed that it does not fit into most life plans, but this is not the main fault either. “First of all, the weight is very likely to come back when you stop dieting. Second, with this dietary option, the metabolism slows down,” Bridger comments.

3. Cocktails instead of food

5. Tea detox

Detox teas are not recommended to drink instead of food, but as a supplement to a healthy diet and exercise. They help reduce weight and remove harmful substances from the body, because they accelerate lipolysis (the conversion of fats into free fatty acids). But without reducing the calorie content of the diet, it does not make sense.

Obviously, the main problem with star diets is the inability to stick to the result. Instead of following such advice, Max suggests making your diet 80% healthy and 20% favorite food, exercise 3-4 times a week and try to burn more calories than you take in, then the effect achieved will remain for a long time.
