Gennady Bogachev was born in the small town of Shatsk in the Ryazan region. After school, he went to St. Petersburg to enter the theater institute and managed to conquer the selection committee. Thus, Bogachev became a student of LGITMiK. Immediately after graduation, he was accepted into the ensemble of the legendary BDT, and Georgy Tovstonogov personally appreciated his talent.
As a result, the actor gave more than 50 years to this theater and during this time played 50 of the most diverse roles. He was busy in The General Inspector, Macbeth, Wolves and Sheep, Quiet Flows the Don and others. In addition, Bogachev was a real scoring legend – Richard Gere, Robert De Niro, Ian McKellen, Stephen Fry, Danny DeVito, Tony Curtis, Tommy Lee Jones and many others spoke at the domestic box office.
