Meghan Markle appeared in public for the first time after the scandal surrounding the refusal to come to the coronation 24.04.2023, 17:10

Prince Harry’s wife will not attend the coronation of Charles III on May 6 in London. The youngest son of the monarch arrives at the event alone. It was revealed today that Meghan found time to shoot a video for British photographer with Nigerian roots, Missan Harriman.

The first black man to photograph on the cover of the British Vogue magazine spoke at the Ted Talk conference of the American private non-profit foundation. In the video, Meghan introduced her friend to the assembled audience. This marked the Duchess of Sussex’s first public appearance since it was announced that she would be skipping a major event in the UK.

The former American actress opted for a sleeveless cream dress. She did an understated make-up with a soft palette of blush and glossy lip gloss. Megan straightened her hair and let it flow loosely down her back. She looked beaming as she talked about her friend. “The Duchess of Sussex was kind enough to put me on stage for my performance of Ted. Thank you for your support Meg,” said Harriman.

Missan is known as an active supporter of the Black Lives Matter movement. It was he who took the first public photos of Lilibet, which Meghan Markle and Prince Harry released for their one-year-old daughter’s birthday. Missan was among those invited to a private family party the couple hosted at their London residence, Frogmore Cottage at Windsor Castle. He captured the child in a blue dress posing with a smile on the lawn of the house. Meghan also posed with her daughter in her arms along with the photographer’s wife and their children.

Earlier, the British press reported that Meghan had sent a letter to her crowned father-in-law about the “unconscious bias” against her in the royal family. In the message, she named a member of the monarchy who showed racism and asked what skin color her and Harry’s son Archie would be born, the Daily Mail reports.

However, representatives of the disgraced monarchist couple refused. “The Duchess of Sussex lives her life in the present, not thinking about two-year-old correspondence linked to four-year-old conversations. Any suggestion to the contrary is false and frankly ridiculous. We call on the tabloids and various royal correspondents to stop the exhausting circus they are creating,” said Ashley Hansen, a spokeswoman for the couple.
