“Unforgettable day”: Daniil Medvedev baptized his daughter Alice in the Russian church of Monaco 04/21/2023, 1:30 p.m.

The famous Russian athlete leads an extremely private life and prefers to protect his personal life from public attention. Therefore, Daniel’s photos from the christening of his six-month-old daughter Alice became a real gift to the public.

Medvedev and his wife Daria live in the resort of Monaco, where they decided to baptize their daughter. It happened in a Russian church. The former world number one singles racket posted a photo from the ceremony, which was attended by close relatives and friends.

The athlete wore a white shirt, a windbreaker and coffee-colored pants. Daria Medvedeva chose a white shirt dress with a gray print. The fitted outfit with a flared pleated skirt emphasized the figure of the young mother, who got into excellent shape half a year after giving birth. “An unforgettable day,” Daniel commented curtly.

It is noteworthy that Medvedev invited his friend and rival, 25-year-old tennis player Andrei Rublev, to play the role of Alisa’s godfather. It was only in March that the youngsters met in a tense battle in the final of the ATP 500 tournament in Dubai. Daniil defeated Andrey and regained the title of the first racket of Russia. In addition to Rublev, the proud dad invited one more colleague to the ceremony – the 26-year-old silver medalist from the 2020 Olympic Games in singles Karen Khachanov.

Fans of the Grand Slam tournament winner from all over the world were not stingy with compliments. They were pleased with the frames with the child and the friendship of the Russian tennis players.

“Happiness and health to your princess and all your family, Daniel”, “God bless your beloved daughter and your family. Thanks for sharing”, “Very nice photos, very nice faces”, “Big three of Russia! Daniel, Andrey and Karen! What friendship, that’s why we love tennis”, “Rublev is the godfather?! It is so valuable. Friends and family”, “So beautiful to see rivals and friendships,” they wrote in the comments.

The Davis Cup winner married his sweetheart on September 12, 2018 at the Kutuzovsky matrix in Moscow. Daria also used to play tennis, played in junior tournaments, but left the sport due to injury. The girl accompanied Medvedev at all competitions before the wedding and continues to do so now.

Last fall, Daria gave birth to a tennis player’s daughter at a private clinic in Nice. Daniel admitted that he dreams of becoming the kind of father who will not force the child to do something against his will. At the same time, he is looking forward to introducing Alice to his favorite sport.
