The role of Diana de Monsoro in the television adaptation of the novel by Alexander Dumas père was not the debut of the actress – in 1992 she graduated from the Moscow Art Theater School and was already filming. But it was this work that made her a star. But ironically, Mariani got to the set almost by accident – the actress passed another casting in the studio, but was noticed by the assistant of the actors of the future series.
A beauty with wide eyes and full lips, you simply couldn’t take your eyes off Gabriella. And she looked very organic in the role of the countess. But the actress had no noble roots. She was born in Balti, Moldavian SSR, and her real name is Tkach. A sonorous pseudonym in the Italian style – Mariani – Gabriella took over later and changed her middle name – Maryanovna.
The success of Countess de Monsoro was not in vain – the 2000s were a very fruitful period in the life of the actress. Mariani starred in new projects almost every year – you could see her in the TV series Ondine, Alias Albanian, Mistress of the Taiga. But Mariani did not have any bright leading roles and did not stop filming after 2014.
It turned out that the actress began to lose interest in filming and decided to focus on the family. In 1999, Mariani married film producer Andrei Semyonov. The man conquered Gabriella with his care when she had health problems at the height of her popularity. In 2002, their son Alexander was born.
Today, Mariani is already 52 years old, she almost does not appear in public and enjoys a quiet and peaceful life, although fans on the network still remember her and admire the blonde Countess de Monsoro – after all, this is how they remember the actress.
