Valeria Gureeva (this is the real name of the singer) was born in Novy Urengoy, but in 2002 she moved to Moscow to pursue a musical career – the girl wrote songs from childhood and dreamed of popular music. She met producer Igor Markov, who took on the promotion of the ambitious debutante. Lera took the pseudonym Masskva, which, by the way, soon became her official surname.
Already in 2005, the singer released her first album, from which the main hit was the song “7th Floor”. The song was included in the soundtrack of the TV series “Univer”, it was played by all radio stations.
At the same time, Masskva met the musician Pavel Evlakhov from the group 4ehov, who later became her husband. In 2023, the couple celebrated their 18th anniversary together! They also have a son, Platón, who was born in 2010. Even before his birth, Lera and Pavel moved to the United States for permanent residence.
Today, Masskva continues to make music and also travels a lot around the world – her social media is more of a travel blogger’s blog, not a singer’s. Of course, Lera is especially fond of beach vacations in exotic countries.
