Vadim Volkov died in St. Petersburg. His sudden death was reported at the Youth Theater in Fontanka. Volkov’s colleagues said that he gave 12 years of his life to the theater, during which time he played 12 roles in various performances – The Barber of Seville, Josephine and Napoleon, The Last Chinese Warning, Four Thongs About Love and others.
“The artist worked outside the role, used all the colors assigned to his talent – from lyrical to comic,” they said in the theater. – The images created by Volkov were always an integral part of the director’s intention: they breathed life into the stories invented by the playwrights and made the characters recognizable, real and memorable. Giving the characters life, Vadim Kimovich gave everything to the stage.
Vadim Volkov was born on February 11, 1964 in Leningrad. He graduated from the Leningrad State Institute of Theater, Music and Cinematography (now the Russian State Institute of Performing Arts), attended the courses of Igor Vladimirov and Larisa Malevannaya. He worked in the Lenin Komsomol Theater (“Baltic House”), the Formal Theater, collaborated with the Creative Workshops of the Union of Theater Workers, the theater. VF. Komissarzhevskaya and “Comedian Shelter”. He then joined the troupe of the Youth Theater in Fontanka. Further performances with the actor’s participation were scheduled for April 11, 13 and 16.
