“Alla Pugacheva sang our song”: Igor Nikolaev turned to Ilya Reznik on his 85th birthday 04.04.2023, 14:00

Today Ilya Reznik is 85 years old. Songs based on his poems were performed by Alla Pugacheva, Philip Kirkorov, Laima Vaikule, Irina Ponarovskaya, Valery Leontiev and many other singers. The presidents of both countries congratulated the People’s Artist of Russia and Ukraine.

“Dear Ilya Rachmielevich! You devoted yourself to poetic creativity, achieved success and recognition in this field. The songs you created in collaboration with talented composers still adorn the repertoire of famous pop singers,” Vladimir Putin said. “Extraordinary talent and creative individuality have allowed you to take an honorable place in the galaxy of recognized masters of art. The works created by you, filled with love and creative energy, are deservedly recognized by the Belarusian public,” assured Alexander Lukashenko.

Igor Nikolaev turned to the hero of the day. The People’s Artist of Russia congratulated the poet on his 85th birthday. He posted a photo with Reznik and his wife Irina.

“I gave Ilyusha backstage at his concert at Crocus City Hall a record with songs based on his poems,” said Yulia Proskuryak’s husband. – Among them – and my song performed by Alla Pugacheva “Ballet”. Ilya and I wrote a few songs: “Ballet”, “Twentieth Century”, “Hello”, “Little Country”, “Summer of Castanets”, “I Worship You”. But it’s not about the number, but about the priceless times spent together, writing, joking, touring, traveling, believing and hoping for the best! I wish Ilya and Irochka happiness, health and optimism!

Fans of Igor Nikolaev shared their emotions from his post. “Without Alla Borisovna, the concert went unnoticed … If Alla is not there, what kind of concert is it”, “Great maestro, undeservedly forgotten by an ungrateful singer. The action speaks volumes…” — the bloggers wrote.

Another celebratory concert was held in Crimea, where Reznik and his wife have been living for several years. The annual show lasted four hours. Lev Leshchenko, Tatyana Bulanova, Aziza, Taisiya Povaliy, Stas Piekha, Varvara and others performed on it.

Ilya Reznik assured that he is sorry for the artists who went abroad, because interest in them is disappearing. He advised returning to the homeland, where there is a possibility of a second chance from the public.

“Of course the rating of the fugitive artists has gone down, of course the public is experiencing the deepest disappointment. But they also have fans who go crazy. And the rest don’t worry – well, God bless them, they deserve it. These are different opinions,” KP quotes the poet.
