Law enforcement authorities are investigating whether the girl who handed over the figurine to Tatarsky was involved in the explosion. It was probably rigged with an improvised explosive device that was activated remotely.

As it turned out, the girl who handed over the statuette to military commander Vladlen Tatarsky is in one of St. Petersburg’s hospitals. Her condition is moderate, she is in the shock ward. Her identity has not yet been established due to a lack of documents.

Maxim Fomin was born in 1982 in the city of Makeevka in the Donetsk region. In 1999, he got a job in a mine and went into business. A man has been sentenced to prison after an armed bank robbery. In 2014, after the shelling of the colony in Gorlovka, where he was, Maxim joined the militias of the DPR.
