The leading lady in the series “Margosha” openly talked about pregnancy and childbirth, but kept the name of the child a secret for a long time. Only now did she decide to admit what she named her daughter.

Maria joked that everyone assumed the girl’s name would be Margarita. However, the actress did not want her daughter to bear the name of her heroine on screen.

“I didn’t want to burden the baby with my (not only) associations with the screen or theatrical images and characters that may often accompany me in my profession. When I envisioned the name Margo for my daughter (like dreaming about her many years ago and being in a position), I always wanted it to sound more tender,” explained Maria.

The star also has a son: there were no difficulties with his name. Even during her pregnancy, the actress decided to name the boy Nikita. The star told the child’s father, Guram Kofenlu, that there was no discussion about choosing a name. With the daughter, it was much more complicated: according to Marie, not a single name suited the child.

The actress’ friend came to the rescue, reminding her how she once said that she would have a daughter, Masha. “One day I had a dream. I gave birth to a daughter, and my husband – we did not know each other then – called her Marusya. He actually called it that. I can’t say I resisted it,” the actress shared.

She added that there is no name confusion in the family. “We have Marushka, friends! Marusenka!” — summed up the star of the popular series.
