A forty-four-year-old athlete was injured while practicing wakeboarding. Slutskaya hit her side and was seriously injured. The two-time world champion in figure skating shared the details of what happened.

The Olympic medalist noted that she did not immediately suspect that she had an injury. After class, Slutskaya went to an event where Anfisa Chekhova, Ida Dostman, Maria Zaitseva and other stars were present.

“After training, I still went to the meeting, sat and did not suspect that I had a fracture. And after the appointment I went to the emergency room where they cut off two of my wedding rings. Now I try to do everything with my left hand, “explained the figure skater.

The figure skater was upset that the doctors cut off her wedding rings. Irina showed pictures of the broken jewelry and noted that she “tries not to believe in superstitions” afterwards.

Slutskaya showed how she is learning to paint with her left hand. “Are there any life tricks to painting now?” the ice star asked with humor.

Slutskaya was married to boxer Sergey Mikheev for 17 years. The couple has two children – 14-year-old Artem and 11-year-old Varvara. Irina admitted that the divorce was difficult for her.

In 2018, the figure skater married businessman and representative Alexey Govyrin. They even played a “secret wedding” on their anniversary.
