The actor of the films “Slave of Love” and “Fought for the Fatherland” Mikhail Chigaryov died 28.03.2023, 07:30

The tragedy was told in the Union of Cameramen of Russia. “After a long illness, theater and film actor Mikhail Mikhailovich Chigaryov died,” reads the official statement on the death of the actor. As reported by the Union of Cinematographers of Russia, it will be possible to say goodbye to the artist on Wednesday, March 28 in Pereslavl-Zalessky.

Mikhail Mikhailovich was born in Moscow. The famous woke up after the release of the film “The Summer of Private Grandpa”. Nikita Mikhalkov noticed the actor after his role in the detective “The City Taken”. Chigarev starred in the director’s films that became cult: “Slave of Love” and “Own Among Strangers, Stranger Among Ourselves.” In total, the artist has more than 80 roles in television projects, the most famous of which are “Fought for the Motherland”, “In the Zone of Special Attention”, “Siberia”.

After the death of his daughter Natalie, Chigarev’s life changed dramatically. The artist’s wife Nina worked for over 25 years in Gorky’s film studio as a costume designer. The couple had four children, but it was the daughter Natalia Chigarev who loved more than the others.

Mikhail Mikhailovich could not cope with the loss and sought solace in alcohol. Relatives tried to help the actor: in 2008, he even starred in the TV series Ranetki as the grandfather of the main character, but he could not get rid of addiction.

The actor sold his apartment in Moscow and moved to a small wooden outbuilding in the village of Nikitskaya Sloboda, located 145 kilometers from the capital. Last December, the actor fell asleep in a snowstorm and his fingers froze. He spent his entire pension on alcohol.
