Willis’ filmography includes more than 100 roles and has been in films for more than 30 years. He came to the attention of a wide audience after the release of the movie Die Hard, where Bruce portrayed the policeman John McClane. He also created unforgettable images in the films The Fifth Element, Pulp Fiction, The Sixth Sense and others.
We know these pictures well and have checked them more than once. But how was Willis’ debut? Quite modest.
Bruce began his career in 1980 as an extra. He first appeared on screen in the thriller The First Deadly Sin. His role was really tiny and Willis isn’t even mentioned in the credits. But the project itself was very large by Hollywood standards. Starring Frank Sinatra and Faye Dunaway, Sinatra really finished his film career after this film, after which he appeared in several projects himself.
And here he played an aging police officer who investigates a brutal murder. In one of the episodes, he enters a restaurant and lets out a man in a hat… Look carefully – this is Bruce Willis!
After his debut, Willis remained an extra for a few years before starting to get more prominent roles. For example, in the series “Miami Vice” and “Detective Agency” Moonlight “- at least now his characters had names. Well, in 1988 his finest hour came – the first film “Die Hard” was released.
