The family of the People’s Artist of the USSR experiences another tragedy. The son of the pop star said that the mother of his wife Svetlana Evdokimenko had died. Ljudmila Bělousová died at the age of 71, two weeks short of her birthday.

Ruslan Evdokimenko published a black and white photo of his mother-in-law. “Lucy how are you… 30/03/1951 – 03/17/2023,” he wrote.

The man is the only son of the performer of the hit song “Farmář”. Sofia Mikhailovna gave birth to him from her husband, People’s Artist of Ukraine, head of the Chervona Ruta ensemble Anatoly Evdokimenko. He died on October 23, 2002 in Kyiv of a stroke. He was 60 years old. After his death, the singer never married.

Last spring, Rotaru’s son and grandson got into a big scandal. The men tried to cross illegally from Ukraine to Moldova on a boat, but were caught by border guards. The singer’s relatives managed to avoid punishment, they were released. Then they could go to Europe.

The grandson of Sofia Mikhailovna is building a musical career. “I had to leave the country to start a new life. For more than six months he lived as a true nomad. It taught me a lot, it gave me a new perspective on what’s going on,” Anatoly said.

Ruslan also has a second child – a daughter. Sofia Evdokimenko has been living in the USA for several years. The girl leads a luxurious lifestyle – travels on private planes, dines in fashionable restaurants.

Rotaru celebrated 75 years in August last year. On this day, the pop star shared a photo of herself in her home. “Today is not the time to celebrate an anniversary,” she said.
