1. He met his wife through Hemingway. In an interview, Svetlana Bodrová recalled the circumstances of her acquaintance with Sergej. She said they ended up in Cuba together. We talked at Hemingway’s house and realized that they were very similar, like twins separated many years ago.

2. By chance, he became the hero of “Prisoner of the Caucasus”. Sergej Bodrov got on the scene as an assistant director. Subsequently, Sergei Bodrov Sr. said that he had been looking for an actor for the second main role for a long time. When the search stopped, the son suggested, “Try me.” Sergej thus won the role of Ivan Žilina, which brought him the Nika award and a number of other awards.

3. Bodrov had no acting or directing education. After school, his father discouraged Sergey from entering VGIK, explaining that cinema is a passion, not a profession. That is why Bodrov Jr. entered the Faculty of History of Moscow State University. He graduated from university with honors in 1994 and became a professional art critic. 9. He worked for free for the benefit of the school. During his school years, Sergej Bodrov worked in a confectionery factory.
