Stars Jack is gray-haired and Kate is blonde: how the main characters of the series “Lost” have changed

The premiere of the first series took place on September 22, 2004, and a total of six seasons were released. Since the heroes were passengers on a shipwreck, many actors were involved in the series. But the main plot lines revolved around the trio: the charming Kate played by Evangeline Lilly, the brutal Jack played by Matthew Fox and the seductive blonde Sawyer played by the inimitable Josh Holloway.

And that’s what happened to the actors during this time.

At the time of the casting, Josh had already been filming for several years, but had not achieved much success in his career. He mostly flashed in recurring roles in TV series. So the opportunity to play one of the central characters was a chance. The auditions for the role of Sawyer were fiercely contested, with many of those who ended up playing other roles in the series initially applying for Sawyer, even Matthew Fox.

But the producers finally chose the smiling Josh. Oh, how many hearts were broken by that smile! The series “Lost” became a lucky ticket for the actor, according to which he immediately rose to the top of fame. However, he could not stay there. A new project to cement his popularity was never found. Josh actually remained an actor in one role – and today he is remembered precisely as Sawyer, although he continues to act in films. Josh has been married to Indonesian Jessica Kumala for a long time and they have two children together.

Matthew Fox did not even think about the career of an actor. He attended Columbia University, where he studied economics and enjoyed playing football. However, when it came to part-time work, Matthew decided to try his hand at modeling and got carried away, eventually making his television debut in 1992. However, before “Lost” he had to settle for mostly supporting roles. Although he already had a successful project under his belt – the “Five of Us” series, which was released in the nineties. It was he who brought the actor the first popularity.

After the success of “Lost”, however, Fox was hit by a crisis. In 2012, he said that he saw no point in filming unless he received interesting offers. In 2014, the actor took a break from acting. Together with his Italian wife and children, he moved to Italy, where he lived for several years, forgetting the ambition and glamor of Hollywood. But shake your head all you Jack fans, now the actor is all set to return to duty. In 2022, he starred in the mini-series “Last Light” and at the same time acted as a producer himself – this new experience attracted him. Our favorite Jack is now with wrinkles around his eyes and gray temples, but we’d love to have the actor back!

The most successful career after Lost was probably Kate, actress Evangeline Lilly. She managed not only not to remain an actress of one role, but also to break into the main league of Hollywood actors who play in box office films.

After the cult series, she went on to Peter Jackson’s saga based on Tolkien’s books and played the elf Tauriel in The Hobbit: The Desolation and The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies before becoming a star of the Marvel movies. Lost fans would also be hard pressed to recognize Lilly today. No, the actress still looks great, but she likes to experiment with her image. She said goodbye to dark curls and became a blonde with an ultra-short haircut.

But in her personal life, Evangeline votes for stability. She has been in a relationship with actor and assistant director Norman Cali since 2010 and they have two sons.
