“We are on the side of our motherland!”: Ilona Bronevitskaya expressed the position of Edita Piekha on the NWO 03/03/2023, 14:45

The famous singer and actress was born in a Polish family in the south of France. In 1955, she received a recommendation to study in the USSR. Edita Stanislavovna settled in Leningrad and since then her fate has been inextricably linked with Russia.

Now the People’s Artist of the USSR has interrupted her career due to her age – she leads a closed lifestyle in her country house. The 67-year-old daughter of the singer and actress said that Piekha is aware of all the latest events. According to Ilona Bronevitska, the pop legend supports the country that has become her home.

“She is a citizen of her country, she once swore allegiance to her beloved Leningrad. She was in Afghanistan and other hot places. And I was lucky to be there. That is our position. We are on the side of our motherland!” said Bronevitskaya.

Ilona noted that she never thought about moving, she does not understand her colleagues who emigrated in such a difficult time, and some of them even attack Russia. “Artists should be with people in such moments, because their presence guarantees a person the existence of another life, where there is a home. This is our mission,” said the representative of the famous creative dynasty.

Bronevitskaya denied rumors that her son had left the country after the start of the SVO. According to the artist, Stas Piekha continues to live and work in Russia. “Even before these powerful movements in Donbass, he performed there a lot – from 2014 or even earlier. Locals approached him and asked – when will you take us, we want to our home port. This is such a family understanding of the profession of an artist – to be where you are needed, ”said Ilona on the broadcast of the Life and Destiny program on the Russia 1 channel.

Because of his concerts in the Donbass, the Star Factory-4 participant was blacklisted by the Ukrainian authorities. At the same time, the daughter of the composer Alexander Bronevický does not believe that the inhabitants of the United States and Europe feel hatred towards the Russians. “When we talk about total Russophobia, many are wrong. Human ties remain everywhere, there are people who understand that little has changed between us. We are people from the Soviet Union, we were brought up that way,” added Ilona.
