“We sent documents abroad, but no one took them”: Galina Yudashkina about her father’s fight with oncology 02.28.2023, 18:10

32-year-old artistic director of the brand Valentin Yudashkin told how her father was able to cope with a serious illness. In 2016, the fashion designer was diagnosed with cancer. From the kidney metastases, they gradually came to the couturier’s head. Common misfortune brought the Yudashkins together. Relatives surrounded Valentin with care and support, and the disease subsided.

“We are very satisfied, everything has been improved. Doctors also give positive prognoses, we are fighting. And we never stop at anything. I believe that this disease did not interfere in any way, but only strengthened our family, “the heiress of the fashion designer assured.

Valentine’s Day must not be boring. He often walks around Moscow, visits friends. Relatives motivate the designer to lead an active lifestyle. “All the time, we keep pushing him. I only know dad before his illness – something that he is lazy to go somewhere, he doesn’t want to, he is tired. And we won’t let him down here: “No, we’re all going together, with the family. It doesn’t matter if we’re tired.” We will not let you rest, ”said Galina.

Before the illness, Yudashkin flew to the USA every year, the fashion designer underwent a complete examination at one of the leading clinics in Los Angeles. When Valentina started having severe headaches, the diagnosis escaped him. The very next year, Russian doctors found him with oncology. Domestic experts helped the legend of the fashion industry get back on his feet.

“All thanks to our specialists! We sent many of his documents abroad, but no one took them. Now he is receiving help at the oncology center in Kashirka, but there are other clinics as well. The drugs he is currently taking are Russian-made and have improved his condition. We thought there would be problems with the supply of foreign medicines – no, the Russian ones turned out even better. It seems that every disease needs its own medicine, “said Galina in an interview with Madonna Moore.

Yudashkina is happily married to Peter Maksakov, the grandson of actress Ludmila Maksakov. The couple is raising three children. Galina said that she heard about the difficult character of the artist, so she was afraid before meeting her. However, Maksakova very soon fell in love with Valentin, and Galina found a common language with her mother-in-law.

Yudashkina communicates with the closest relatives from the Maksakov family. “We have the closest – this is Petya’s mother – Ekaterina Dobrynina and Lyudmila Vasilievna.” His father does not live in Russia and we have not communicated with his aunt for a very long time. It was her wish. I understand that she is in Ukraine, “added Galina, referring to the opera singer Maria Maksakova, daughter of the actress.
