The Knives Out star was a guest at the 29th annual SAG Awards held in Los Angeles. Ana was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress for her portrayal of Marilyn Monroe in the fictional Netflix biopic Blonde. The project received mixed reviews from critics and audiences.
On the red carpet, Ana shone in a skin-tight dress made of flesh-colored fabric, which was then covered with a darker embroidered pattern, shimmering in the bright light. The spicy detail of the outfit was the V-neck, which reached the 34-year-old star’s stomach. Anna’s slim waist was accentuated by a strip of black fabric.
The dress was supported by two thin straps on each shoulder and large black velvet bows were added underneath. The hem of the dress fell to the ankles and hid the shoes. A small train stood behind the actress.
The Cuban native parted her voluminous tresses down the middle and pulled her hair into a ponytail, leaving a few curly locks to frame her face. The actress rejected the massive accessories and focused on the dress. On her left wrist, she tried on a bracelet covered in rhinestones. Ana also added a pair of small earrings to add a touch of elegance to her look.
Her make-up was kept classic for the event, consisting of a coat of black mascara and bronze smoky eyeshadow. She wore a light peach blush on her cheekbones and nude satin lipstick on her lips. Ana flashed a cheerful smile as she stopped for a photo shoot before entering the Fairmont Century Plaza where the awards were held.
The SAG-nominated star opened up about her role in “Blonde” in an interview with Extra. The actress admitted that she was sad to say goodbye to the picture.
“It wasn’t about getting out of character. I thought it was something more because I missed her. I missed this as well as the whole process. As hard and emotional as it was, it was also a very beautiful process. I missed this environment and this kind of creativity,” added Ana. Michelle Yeoh received the coveted statuette at the ceremony.
