The disgraced couple of the British monarchy got into a new scandal. A former American actress and a British prince became the heroes of the animated comedy series South Park. Titled “Privacy World Tour,” the episode harshly mocked Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.
Surrounded by the Duchess of Sussex, they said she found the satire directed at her distasteful. “For the past few days, she’s been upset and overwhelmed by how she and Harry are portrayed in the episode. She is fed up with South Park and refuses to watch it all,” the insider said.
However, the dissatisfaction of the former representative of the monarchy may not be the only consequence for the creators of the animated series. Royal commentator Neil Shawn said that Harry and Meghan’s lawyers are already interested in the scandalous episode and are ready to defend the interests of their VIP clients in court.
“According to sources close to former royals, this could have legal ramifications, like many events involving Meghan and Harry. Their legal team is looking into the episode to see what is wrong and what could be changed into more sinister sketches,” said Neil.
The episode makes fun of the couple, who complain about the lack of privacy. Megan is presented as an actress, an influencer, a victim. At the same time, her character was “dressed” in an image that copies the one in which Markle posed on the balcony of Buckingham Palace during Trooping the Color in 2018. There is no doubt about Prince Harry’s identity either – just imagine him with red hair and a beard, reports Daily Mail.
At the same time, the privacy-conscious heroes on TV are promoting a book very similar to Prince Harry’s recently published memoir. Protagonist Stan refers to their cartoon equivalents as “the stupid prince and his stupid wife”, while Kyle complains about the private jet parked outside their house. After that, the couple appear on the morning show with signs: “We want privacy”, “Stop looking at us.”
