“Oprah didn’t tip me even though her dinner cost $200. Instead, she signed my napkin and acted like she was doing me a huge favor. The most interesting thing is that when she came in, the other waiters took other tables for me so that she wouldn’t have to wait. In the end, I didn’t make anything for those two hours, but I did get the “privilege” of serving Oprah, and she kept signing a napkin that I didn’t actually ask for.
“My dad is a pilot and often deals with celebrities. At his company, all employees sign nondisclosure agreements, but my father usually doesn’t even know who celebrities are unless they’ve been in the news. He said that Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban are incredibly rude to their own employees. Personal assistants were afraid of them.’
“I’m from Vancouver, Canada (a big city in the film industry) and a family member has been in the film industry for 20 years, so I have too many stories. I’ll tell you one that just pissed me off.
Gerard Butler. About nine years ago he aggressively stalked my friend in a nightclub. She was not interested in this acquaintance and told him about it. And instead of respecting her wishes, he reached out to us, her friends, and tried to get her number from us without her knowledge. Normal at all?
“I worked with Gwyneth Paltrow’s kids for eight weeks at camp and we were paid $5 an hour. Parents usually tip $100 or more at the end, but she didn’t tip at all.”
“I was waiting for a cab with my friends in front of the pool table when Kristen and her friend came out of the building laughing loudly. Naturally, we turned around laughing, saw them coming and got out of their way. And suddenly Kristen turned around, came up to us, held out her hands like a boxer and rudely asked, “What are you staring at?” Then she comes up to us and says, “What?!”, arms outstretched as if ready to fight. Then they leave laughing.
We didn’t even realize who it was until they left. She really should be careful who she talks to like that, someone could really hit.”
“What a bitch! My uncle worked with her (he’s an architect) on a project and she treated him and the rest of the staff like absolute crap. I couldn’t believe it at the time, but then I’ve heard similar stories over the years about her bad behavior. ”
“Lenny Kravitz once stayed at the hotel where I worked. He made the hotel sign an agreement not to be seen or spoken to by the staff. Eyes on the floor and silence – what is it like?
“I have to say right away that this did not happen to me, but to my friend Dolly, who worked as a flight attendant in the first class cabin of a well-known British airline. Once on board was a British “celebrity” named Kathy Price. Ms. Price is known for… uh… having breasts and occasionally falling off various poles.
So Miss Price boards, notices Dolly, and within five minutes lists her requirements for the flight, namely: she must be given complete privacy; none of the passengers can pass by her without being accompanied by a flight attendant; none of the crew can approach her until she calls; and finally, Dolly is personally responsible for everything, and if she makes a mistake, she will be fired.
