“I couldn’t lose weight because I was under contract for this movie. I mean, you can’t lose more than 10 pounds (4.5 kg) or gain more than 10 pounds. You have to maintain the weight. It’s in your contract,” Rebel explained .

The 42-year-old actress said she was thinking about going into healthcare. She had to wait for the franchise, which ran for five years, to finish filming. She explained that she was never offended by the role of “fat Amy”. Rebel really enjoyed her because this character is confident and assertive. However, the actress explained that she played the role of a fat funny friend, not a lover.

“I was stereotyped playing this fat, funny friend, which is so hard because I love those kinds of roles. I love these characters. Then I really wanted to do more things. However, I felt that as a big girl, I would just fit that type,” said Rebel.

When the trilogy ended and she was 40 years old, the actress decided to lose weight in order to try for a child. For this purpose, Wilson turned to specialists for help. The doctor explained that the movie star should pay attention to her health.

“I went to a fertility doctor and he said, ‘You would have a much better chance of being fertile if you were healthier.’ It really hit me hard because I lived a fantastically big life,” Rebel assured.

In 2020, the actress appeared to have drastically lost weight, but she admitted that her team was unhappy with such weight loss. Wilson’s partners are worried that this will negatively affect her acting career. Two years later, in November 2022, the artist gave birth to her first child to a surrogate mother, a girl named Royce, the Daily Mail reports.
