‘I wore his clothes’: Stephanie Seymour talks about her condition for the first time since her son’s death 31.01.2023, 15:20

The fifty-four-year-old American top model and actress buried her son in January 2021. The young man died after a drug overdose. Stephanie took part in the first photo shoot after the tragedy, posing in outfits that reminded her of her son.

According to the top model, Harry has been familiar with fashion since childhood and liked to help her make outfits. He liked to spread things and accessories on the floor and then collect clothes from them. He had such impeccable taste that when he matured, he actually became the star mother’s personal stylist.

“One day he picked out a blue vintage Christian Dior dress and matching Manolo Blahnik pumps for me to wear to a parent-teacher conference. I said, “Harry, I can’t wear a vintage haute couture dress to a parent-teacher conference.” And he said, “Why not?” Seymour recalled.

Stephanie often took the children shopping, with Harry enjoying the shopping the most. Once he picked out a Saint Laurent suit for her and made sure she fell in love with it instantly and they just had to buy it. After his death, the set hung unwrapped in Stephanie’s dressing room as a reminder of her son. The model wore it for the first time, posing for the cover of the Wall Street Journal.

“This suit was hanging from my closet. It’s a big room where I have all my stuff. I do my makeup there. I live in this room. I looked at this suit one evening and said, “I’m going to wear this.” He approached me. If I think Harry will like something, I do it and it helps me deal with my sadness. It’s still so nice to wear his clothes,” said one of the most famous Victoria’s Secret Angels.

The star of the world catwalk is now passionate about the project – she is preparing a photo shoot with pictures that her son invented. “I have an idea, I want to keep taking pictures of his clothes because I think he will like it. I have a whole host of women who would like to wear his clothes and have their pictures taken. That’s what I like to do,” Seymour is quoted as saying by the Daily Mail.

The Playboy star and Chanel muse has a 31-year-old son, Dylan, from her marriage to rock guitarist Tommy Andrews. In 1995, Stephanie married developer, publisher and contemporary art collector Peter Brant. In addition to the late Harry, the couple has two more children together – 29-year-old Peter and 18-year-old Lily. The billionaire has five children from previous relationships.

According to Stephanie, it was a difficult time for her, but thanks to her children and grandchildren, she was able to overcome it. In October of last year, Dylan gave birth to a son, whom he named Harry after his younger brother. Several of Peter’s children became parents. This year, for the first time since Harry’s death, the extended family gathered for the Christmas holidays.
