The daughter of People’s Artist of Russia Lyubov Polishchuk and artist Sergei Tsigal followed in their mother’s footsteps. There are already 15 films in Marietta’s filmography, but the main one is, of course, the Ranevskaya series, which will be released on February 8 in the KION online cinema. The actress said that working on the role was very difficult, in large part because of what she had to do “age jumps”.

“I’m extremely critical of everything I do, and even in voice acting I had a hard time looking at the screen. I strongly doubt that I will be able to enter the auditorium at the premiere or turn on the series after its release, ”admitted Tsigal-Polishchuk.

Nevertheless, the actress appeared at the star-studded premiere of the series, which took place at the Moscow City Theater. Marietta chose a modest black dress with a loose cut. “For me, playing this role is not a feat, but dementia and courage,” she said from the stage. The TV star reminded viewers that this is a feature film. Tsigal-Polishchuk advised anyone who wants to know what Ranevskaya really was to watch interviews with her and read books.

Marietta is raising a son, Grigory, who was born in her marriage to actor Dmitry Serdyuk. The actress has been married to producer Alexander Andrievich for five years.

According to Tsigal-Polishchuk, the son found a common language with his new husband, while she herself is trying to make Grigory remember his star grandmother. Marietta assured that she would support her son if he decided to become an actor as well.

Yevgenij Steblov also spoke to the public from the stage. The 77-year-old actor shared his memories of Faina Georgievna, with whom he played in the theater. According to him, the legendary colleague was a complete silversmith – she didn’t ask for anything, she gave everything. “Of all the artists, Ranevskaya had the smallest salary. Since she was not a member of the party and did not go to any meetings at all, she was of course very lonely. But she is so alone. A tragicomic character,” explained Steblov.

The premiere was attended by many stars of Russian cinema. Irina Bezrukova assured that she watched all the films with the participation of Ranevskaya with pleasure. The artist noted that Faina Georgievna was not filmed much, but you can see how she enjoys being in the shot.

Elena Zakharová recalled the apt expressions of Ranevska and also expressed the opinion that she could be in demand for users in our time. “Faina Georgievna would be a social media star!” suggested Zakharova.

Oksana Akinshina and Daniil Kozlovsky, Anna Banshchikova, Ekaterina Klimova, Nastasya Samburskaya, Dmitry Dyuzhev and many other actors also came to the theater for the premiere of the series.

The director of a biographical film “Ranevskaya” was Dmitry Petrun (“Voskresensky”, “I love my husband”). Alexander Domogarov played Vasiliy Kachalov, Irina Grineva appeared as Lyubov Orlova, Polina Kutepova as Pavla Vulf, Konstantin Lavronenko as Pavel Repnin.
