The result was not at all what the singer expected. She barely found the strength to show up at the Golden Globes. Lisa Marie looked unsteady on the sidewalk, leaning on her friend Jerry Schilling’s arm, her speech slow and slurred during a brief conversation.

On January 12, the singer was found unconscious at her home in Calabasas, California. Presley was taken to the hospital, where she fell into a coma, later doctors recorded her death from cardiac arrest.

The singer admitted that since her teenage years, she took various drugs and along with them, alcoholic drinks. Lisa Marie became addicted to opioids when she received a short-term prescription after the birth of her daughters Vivienne and Finley in 2008. She underwent rehabilitation in clinics five times. The star assured that in recent years she led a completely sober lifestyle, although those around her openly expressed fears that she would return to bad habits after the death of her son in 2020 – Benjamin committed suicide at the age of 27, reports the Daily Mail.

The singer gave birth to a son in marriage with musician Danny Keogh. She also has a 33-year-old daughter, Danielle Riley, with him. In 2021, Presley divorced record producer Michael Lockwood, to whom she was married for 15 years. This relationship left her with 14-year-old twins Vivienne and Finlay.

According to Lisa Marie’s will, she was buried next to her father Elvis Presley and son Benjamin at the Graceland Estate in Memphis, Tennessee. Presley was the sole heir to the cult artist’s empire. After her death, the property will be divided between her daughters.
