They believed in second chances: star couples who divorced and remarried (but not all lived happily ever after)

Everything has happened in the life of these celebrities: quarrels, broken marriages and, of course, love until death.

Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor met on the set of Cleopatra. Then both actors were not single, but their feelings were so overwhelmed that they both left their husbands. In 1964, Richard and Elizabeth married, but divorced 10 years later. However, they remarried the next year in a beautiful ceremony in Botswana. Unfortunately, the once-broken family ship slipped away again – another divorce followed in 1976.

Pamela Anderson married her longtime boyfriend Rick Salomon in Las Vegas in October 2007. It was the Baywatch star’s third marriage, but it didn’t last long as she filed for an annulment two months later. After several years apart (during which time they both managed to remarry), they reunited in 1988 and remarried the following year in a small ceremony in Aspen, Colorado. However, their second marriage also did not last forever and they divorced in 1996.

In 1956, 18-year-old Natalie Wood and 26-year-old Robert Wagner were the brightest and youngest stars at 20th Century Fox, and movie bosses decided that their romance would be a good publicity stunt. But young people really fell in love with each other. Wood saw Robert for the first time as a little girl and even then told her mother that she would marry him.

Sophia Loren and Carlo Ponti’s road to marriage was rocky as the Italian film producer was married with two children when they met. Despite these circumstances, they married in Mexico in 1957. They were forced to live in exile for several years after Ponti was accused of bigamy in Italy and the Vatican. In 1962, their marriage was declared invalid and annulled, and the couple remarried four years later in France. Sophia Loren was married to Carlo Ponti until his death on January 10, 2007.
