Nelli Mikhailovna was feeling unwell a few days ago. She felt sick and weak, but decided not to rush to the doctor. For several days, Kobzon was treated at home.

This approach did not help the widow of Joseph Davydovich. She asked a doctor for help. The Moscow woman was hospitalized in the surgical department, where she was sent by cardiologists, Ren-TV reports.

Kobzon’s sister Helena Kandel commented on the situation. “Nelli Mikhailovna was at Yuri Bashmet’s concert, she came back.” Let her live her life like all normal people. No one cares about her, she has people who care about her,” Kandel is quoted as saying by Vechernyaya Moskva.

Nelli Mikhailovna became the third wife of the People’s Artist of the USSR. His first chosen one was the singer Veronika Kruglová, the marriage lasted two years. For the next three years, Kobzon was married to the cult actress Lyudmila Gurchenko. At the beginning of the 70s, the singer met Nelli Drizina, the age difference with her was 13 years. The girl did not dream of show business, she was modest and economical.

The lovers got married in 1971 and have not parted since then. A son Andrey and a daughter Natalya were born in the family. The couple lived together until the death of Joseph Davydovich in 2018. Nelli Mikhailovna admitted that their life together was not without difficult periods. In 1980, she learned that Kobzon had an affair on the side. The chosen one from the star wanted to divorce, offered to leave, but did not dare.

In the early 2000s, a public figure began to have health problems. He had severe back pain, was diagnosed with intervertebral hernia, diabetes mellitus. In 2005, the singer underwent a complex operation due to prostate cancer. He developed a blood clot, developed pneumonia and kidney sepsis. Three years later, he was operated on a second time.

Already in 2018, Joseph Davydovich was hospitalized in serious condition. Doctors were able to help the “Don’t Think Down Seconds” singer, but he fell into a coma six days later. Gradually, only devices began to support his life. The singer died 12 days before his 81st birthday.
