Before marrying Sweden’s Prince Carl Philip, Duke of Värmland, fourth in line to the Swedish throne, Princess Sofia was a glamor model and reality TV star.
Her birth name was Sophia Christina Hellqvist. The girl grew up in a Swedish province and after high school went to conquer Stockholm. There she first worked as a waitress, then became a model, played topless for a local men’s magazine, and then appeared in an erotic reality show. During her turbulent youth, Sofia also got several tattoos.

By the time she met the prince, however, Sofia had already led a much more modest lifestyle: she opened a yoga center, volunteered and helped build an orphanage in Ghana.

But after Sofia met her future husband, she was not at all going to get rid of the tattoo that remained as a memory from her former life. In addition, the future princess did a particularly daring act – on her wedding day she showed off a tattoo.
A sun tattoo peeked out from under the delicate lace dress. Sofia does not hide this tattoo even after becoming part of the royal family. For example, Sofia also wore a dress with an open back at the gala reception in honor of the Nobel Prize.
Sofia also showed off a large tattoo of a flying butterfly on her ribs while relaxing on the beach a few years ago. She also has a small tattoo on her ankle and is said to have had a design on her arm before.
