Vladimir Tonkov called himself the founder of the Institute of Biosensory Psychology. He had two houses in the Leningrad Region. He lived in a mansion in the village of Mukholovka, Lomonosovsky district. Tonkov used another house for training. During the search, the law enforcement officers found pictures of people who were walking around the psychologist’s place naked with their children.

Tonkov was known to have had 15 children, of which only two were born to one woman. Meanwhile, the psychologist lived alone. On the eve of the tragedy, the eldest daughter came to visit Tonkov. Colleagues of the deceased claim that they did not notice his unhealthy desire for children.

“These are some provocations. I have known the man for many years and have never heard or seen anything like this. He was concerned with the development of human mental skills: resistance to stress, increasing intuition, developing perception, thinking systems, and so on. A pretty good person, unique,” said Pavel Efimov, director of the Institute of Biosensory Psychology.

The institute’s administrator, Naděžda Kuznětsová, had known Tonkov for 26 years. She assured that he did not show criminal addiction to minors.

“I am so amazed that it disturbed me,” Tatyana Semenko, a senior teacher at the Institute of Biosensory Psychology, told Nevsky News. – I do not believe this information, I will never be able to believe it, because I knew this person from a completely different side. And what I read on social networks is the wildest shock for me.

However, it turned out that in the summer of 2022, representatives of the law enforcement authorities had already arrived in Tonkov, to which an elderly woman turned for help. She stated that her granddaughter was molested by a psychologist. The police then spoke to the man in the presence of human rights activists, after which all claims were settled, Ren-TV reports.

But investigators said Vladimir Tonkov repeatedly committed sexual acts on an 11-year-old girl. The law enforcement officers got into his house by unlocking the electronic lock of the front door. The psychologist tried to escape from them. He climbed onto the roof of his house but could not resist and fell. The man died of his injuries in hospital.

Yeralash director Ilya Belostotsky was sentenced to 14 years in prison last year. Law enforcement officials said he raped a 13-year-old actor. His sentence was then reduced by 7.5 years.
