The Ministry of Justice expanded the list of foreign agents for the first time in 2023. Actor Artur Smolyaninov got into it. The actor of the film “9th Company” left Russia in October. After that, Arthur began to speak negatively about his native country. He even declared that he was ready to participate in the fighting on the side of Ukraine.

After Smolyaninov’s scandalous statement, the head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, instructed to open criminal proceedings against him. Artur has already been fined for discrediting the Russian army.
