The conspiracy theory looks like this: in 1926, with a difference of a few weeks, girls were born – the first, who was named Elizabeth, was born in the family of Albert and Elizabeth, and the second, named Catherine, was born in the family of John Herbert Bowes-Lyon – one of the older brothers the queen mother.

So it happened that the daughter of the current king was born defective and could not be the heir to the throne. And then brother and sister, John Herbert and Elizabeth I, decided to swap daughters: John took a mentally ill girl, because he had already raised one feeble-minded daughter, and gave Elizabeth a healthy Catherine to be raised as the future queen. The girls’ names were also changed.
